Are all the states the same, on the length of time when you turn in your cdl, like for instance Indiana is a year, and you don't have to test, are there any states that doesn't do this

Some states you just need a new DOT physical and then they reinstate your cdl. Don't know which states they are though.
Florida is the best state to deal with the DMV. Do you know anyone in Florida? If so, visit them and use their address. May have to have a lease agreement that you're renting a room. Lease forms are easy to download off the internet. Just need a simple one.

State of Indiana Charges 175.00 per each time you take the skills test this Shows what Kentucky charges, Plain and simple Indiana is flat ripping drivers off, For each test, 80 percent of the questions must be answered correctly to pass. Failure to show basic knowledge of an air brake system will result in a license restriction limiting the driver to operating a vehicle without an air brake system. Applicants may take the basic knowledge test indefinitely without paying retest fees. However, if the applicant fails, the applicant must wait 24 hours prior to re-testing. The skills test may be taken up to 4 times on the 1st $50 skills test fee. In Indiana you will pay 700.00 for four skills test compared to Kentucky for the same amount of a one time 50.00 skills test fee, your paying 650.00 more in Indiana for the same test, An additional $50 will be required if a 5th test is required. The combination, airbrake, and endorsement tests require a $5 re-test fee for each time taken after the initial failure.

you're right on that, I have a friend who has drove 52 yrs , has owned several trucks , at one point he had a fleet of Tri-axle dumps he had a light heart problem, they told him he had to re certify so he does the doctor thing , Dr.signs off ,he then takes the skill test , goes for a drive gets back , this young guy tells him he failed, he asked why , well you need to be 1 to 4 foot off the curb when turning, you're doing it wrong, , Jim told him I didn't hit anything, didn't tear anything up, I've drove 52 years never a accident, and I'm doing it wrong, he came home and sold his Truck, shows just how messed up this Industry has gotten.
