I am new here, trying to stop from shaking my head at all this nonsense from a bunch of people that fail to understand that this is a business, even if the name on the doors says
US Xpress.
The bottom line is, will always be and has been, you chose this company, no one put a gun to your head!!! If your not making money, it's your fault because your still here!!!.
Spare everyone the doom and gloom and move on to what you think will be your piece of heaven.

Tell us how you really feel

For a first posting you did a good job of insulting everyone with a different opinion based on different life experiences then your own. But I understand what you mean. Let me put it in song.
Puppage Thanks this. -
Trooper to Trucker,
I'm sorry if I offended you, not my intention. I am a realist and while I'm sensitive to everyone's desire to make money, I still believe that if someone is. It happy, move on!!!.
People need to realize that there is no perfect company in this industry and recruiters talk in a averages, average miles, average pay, average annual income, average truck payment, so unless you get them to put it in writing, don't expect to have a leg to stand on.
Perhaps these lawsuits against Swift and Celadon will force companies to pay as they say they will. -
Nothing for nothing, but I think he's p##### because he was lied too...Although in todays climate lying might be acceptable to some, or even most, but it don't fly with me either.....

Wooly Rhino,
I am direct, it's the best way to be. I will not sugar coat anything to give people the warm and fuzzies.
Did I say anything that's not true? -
Clausland,
I'm not a recruiter, don't like them but accept that every trucking company has them.
Get everything in writing, it's the only way to protect yourself. Here is an example. My son called about a car advertised online, sold by a mom and pop dealer. Dealer talked this car up so my son said, I'm going to buy it.
He gets to the dealership, see's the car, loves it from jumpstreet and hands over cash.
Was told car gets 39 mpg on highway. My son drives reasonable miles and discovers he gets only 29 mpg. Calls back, gets same guy on phone who says I never told you 39 mpg.
My point is never fall for what your told. I do not agree with the op being lied to. -
Just sarcasm

It's cool, the diesel fuels more than my truck, it fuels my sarcasm too.

I do not have any disagreements with anything. I just go for the joke. Don't take it personally. All this bouncing around in a truck sometimes jars the brain.
Every company out there is in it to make a profit. They all try to pay the driver the very smallest amount possible. The only company I ever worked for that did not follow that was CJS out of Chicago, Il. Mike was politically a socialist. He really overpaid the drivers at the time. I had $3000 plus weeks many times. Working there really opened my eyes to the amount of money to be made in trucking. I wish you well with your next company and again apologize for any hard feelings cause by my poor sense of humor.
