Starting a small fleet

I say go for it!!! A lot of people come on here just to bash people and say there is no money to be made but I see different. I've been driving for 4.5 years now and I started with my current employer. Back in 2011 he had three freightliner columbias and he was having trouble keeping drivers just like the other contractors here. When he hired us on, we were the first to get paid above average he was trying something new which was to actually pay drivers!! Lol

Now almost 5 years later, he has 7 trucks. All Volvo 780's 2014 to 2016. Now I make what a Walmart driver makes as well.

So I always say. If he can make it, why can't I??

I agree with Toronto Trucker, I'm about to start a small fleet myself. The same way ,one truck at a time. And it's funny to hear all of these scared brainwashed company drivers say, Ohh No, you never make it, I've been driving for 100 years, and blah, blah, blah, but they still come to the company, get in the truck and drive, . I mean don't get me wrong, if you can't see yourself as a business owner, a boss, etc, that's fine, but don't down and try to discourage the next man that has that vision, it's definitely possible to make it as a new fleet owner, just.stay focus and make the.right decisions.
