My new, final resting place

Waiting just outside St. Louis for an early morning departure to accommodate a change in schedule.

Unless, of course, I can figure out how to get from Romeoville, Illinois, to Plymouth, Indiana in less than one hour, considering my drop is at 1300 CST and my pickup is at 1400 EST.

Didn't think so. And my new DM, who lays that change on me just before she leaves, now goes on vacation for a week. Swell.

 

Big accident on the Penna Pike eastbound involving a lot of fed law enforcement vehicles and lots of minivan vehicles with working dogs. Bet they were all returning from Cleveland and they drive like maniacs.

 

Home for the night at an Ohio Turnpike service plaza...home of decent food and a free shower!

4-wheelers never cease to amaze me. One followed the 18-wheeler off the Turnpike, snugging in very close, as many of them do. Well, of course the truck turns right and the car driver misses the 'cars straight' sign...and wonders where the cars park.

Then the driver has the nerve to give me the finger because I didn't let the car in front of me as I was following the truck path.

I can say is idiots are alive and well everywhere. Be careful out there, truckers.
