Sorry, but if you see me in the truck stop with the bluetooth on, it's because I have a ballgame on my phone's sat radio app. The cutoffs I don't do, but I have been known to go commando in microfiber shorts. Very comfortable, I must say.
I am thinking about gloves though. Both of my wrists and thumbs have been aching like hell for a few months now. Even while typing this I can feel it. -
Here I am in my younger days with my driving gloves and favorite truck outfit. No really! For driving!

See i don't go by what you look like, how many lights/lazers you got or your equipment; i go by if you rock or not.
And the village people rock AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT.

Yeah, the wheels in some of these trucks... you should be able to steer with only a minimal grip on the wheel, anything more than that is just asking for trouble down the road.
That sounds like the perfect use of the safety vest! I was going to say 'pics or it didn't happen,' but @LindaPV took care of the pic part nicely, even without a vest!
