I have a friend who own an excavating company and is wondering how the elogs are gonna affect him he generally doesn't run logs since he is under 100 miles from his shop. Will the 100 mile rule be done away with once the elogs go into effect? After what year do you have to install e-logs?
Could someone point me to a link that talks about this stuff.

Still the same for him. As long as you don't go far enough away where you would need a log book for less than 8 days in a month,( I think), then you're not required to have eobr's.

Buy a 1999 or older truck, no elogs required.
