Chains. Grade 70, 80 or 100. what do you have and why??

Hmm. I use grade 70 3/8 chain for my step deck. I have not move in to heavy haul yet. Still looking for a trailer. I was thinking the grade 100/120 was for rigging and not for HH. I was under the impression grade 80 was still around. I still see it being sold on the internet. Anyway. I agree with the shock /shatter of chain when they are heat treaed. I wasn't intersted in the grade 100/120, but, the grade 80 was a thought. I guess I will stick with the grade 70 (1/2inch) chains to purchase. Also, seems like step deck/flat bed trailers are only rated to handle 5500lbs on the spools so 1/2 chain won't work. (they will up to the rating of the weakest item. In this case, the spools)

Well, I can't imagine using 5/16th chain. What is the purpose of chain I would use on my Rotti
