Honestly, if you've got some cash in hand to live on, look into Stevens in Dallas for schooling. Texas is pretty easy to get a CDL in, and Stevens will cover the hotel.
I spent some time in their school doing a refresher, and was actually impressed with the quality of instructors at that time (2007). Solid guys who knew not only how to drive bit also how to teach.
Company sucks (in my opinion, and ONLY my opinion), but the schooling and on the road training were top notch.
Can I request a new recruiter?
