Well I'm just going by meeting her at the office and reading some of the storys posted on there office wall in denver newspapers. The pictures I found from the 50s are a side view of a male Indian not a front view of a female.[IMG]

    Cracker doesn't offend anyone.
It's like if there was a football team that won most every game and was clearly superior to every other team, there would be no way any words would offend them.
Never mind that only works if the teams all white

Yup. That's Navajo Freightlines, not Navajo Express. They were bought by ABF in the early 1980s. I stand corrected

The blue eyed girl on the Navajo trucks and trailers? Those blue eyes aren't part of Navajo peoples' gene structure. Europeans brought them over, and donated them for free. So the eyes of blue are a diss to brown eyed native people, only there to make the native logo more acceptable to white people.

Personally, just me, I don't have a problem with people valuing their heritage, caring about their image, and I respect that most of the time. Images are important. Yes, there's a lot of PC and hyper sensitivity, and foolishness, but what's new about that?

Mack E-6, in a way, I agree with what you say because I'm an old caucasian male and I grew up in a world where I was free to refer to people of color any way I wanted to. Now those people are telling me, no, don't do that any more. Movin' on, today is what it is, a more inclusive culture, so I usually understand and accept.

Cracker does not refer to a saltine but rather the crack of a whip. The term is an insult to the men who drove slaves. It is so hateful that it just burns me. It is the equivalent of calling a good honest hard working truck driver a K&B dispatcher DM.

We have a group that likes to play poker. One gentleman whose ancestry comes from Nigeria in the pre volunteer emigration days (my nod to PC) came in looking confused. I asked him what was wrong and he said someone called him a Moon Cricket. Non of us knew the term so I looked it up. It originally was a Native American insult for white people. Pale skin like the Moon and noisy like crickets. In the south a black man was walking near a white man and the insult was thrown but the white man was too stupid to understand he was being insulted so it became an insult to blacks. I found the site interesting at it explained lots of the insults. I hit print and 215 pages of racist insults printed out. I believe we have spent way too much time coming up with ways to say we hate. I love everyone. Except Democrats.

every time i see it! I can't help but wonder what or how the real native american idians feel about it. and if they have tried to sue the company over the racist logo. everytime i see it. which is every couple of months. i have one of their drivers that park on my yard when he goes home.anyways i think it is the ugliest logo i have ever seen.
