Heaviest I've been is 13000 or so with twelve stops and a 300 mile round trip. Heaviest I've seen a guy go out with is 17,500, which is probably over weight for the truck that is plated at 33k.

Hello everyone nothing great going on around here today, was busy looking at houses, ahh nothing that really peaked my interest not really so good thing I'm not ready to buy yet lol!
-
Most definitely.
Our newer straight trucks scale empty at roughly 16.5k.
A couple are tagged at 36k though, well beyond what's on the rating plate. I don't like that at all.Shep Shiloh and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Northern Haserot around here I think there straight trucks do 10 pallets and Hilcrest Food Service I don't exactly know what there straight trucks do, but I know they have been known to roll out of the warehouse with 600-800 cases on them there a little bigger though.Last edited: Jul 24, 2016
Shep Shiloh Thanks this. -
A tandem axle truck would make a lot of sense for that route because it is the only one that we are ever over gross on with our current Hinos.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Here this one is for sale, your bosses can thank me later for finding it.

Thanks but I was thinking more along the lines of a 379. If you gotta go big then you might as well go big.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
But Shep that trucks already built to your companies specs why it's got a side door and it has not moved in a while so that means low price and highly motivated seller!
Plus a Thermo King Refer, it was practically made for you guys!
Unless you want to be some fancy out fit like Smiths Dairy with there flashy Peterbuilts and Liftgates!
Or maybe somewhere up in Canada you can get some old Neate Roller Equipment GFS sold off all the Neate Roller stuff after the buy out, but there trucks are still out there somewhere, perfect for produce hauling.

No side doors here. I have seen a Hino or two with a liftable rear axle.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
My truck leaning a little hard to the right this morning due to 4,700 lbs of taters and maters in the nose.
Mike2633 Thanks this.
