Message boards bring out the peanut gallery. Ask a non-specific question in a public forum, your going get some "entertaining responses".

Not trying to scare the guy, but how many times have all of the veterans of Abilene answered the guys question and he will not listen to what you have to say. I did training in B trucks, each person is different and the time it takes will and do vary...

Sitting at the J outside Columbus waiting on our load to get done. We dropped early this afternoon in Groveport. We got our.......wait for it......Preplan!!!! About 2 hours before we dropped. Need to be in Frederick Colorado early Thursday morning. Chris will finish with a rolling reset at 10am. We will get our trailer then grab a good nights sleep and head out.

I had a little time this afternoon so I took a much needed 3 hour nap while Chris did his laundry.

I sent in his progress report then spoke with Kimberley about getting him out solo. It's a great feeling when you know deep down that someone is ready, he is and it was agreed upon that we will be routed back from Colorado so he can get out and make his own money.

All kidding aside, we've run 14k+ miles in exactly 2 weeks, if there was any doubt he couldn't do it, these type of miles dispelled it. He was out of a truck for four years, I couldn't tell at all. We've had a great time together, sometimes having lively discussions, laughing, and a few arguments, but through it all, the dude showed me what he's got. I passed it along to my supervisor, and I'd like to think that what I told her, led her to the conclusion he will be going solo.

Now I can get my space back, and not have to share my sardine can with another dude.....lol

Thanks John. It really has been a pleasure sharing your ride and you made getting back in the saddle really easy. As my first posts here will atest, I was a touch nervous until about 20 miles into it. Felt like I never left. I know I'll continue to process the wealth of information you've given me for some time to come and yep, no doubt I'll be calling ya with the occasional question and/or just to say hi to a new friend.

Hope to do you and the whole Abilene team proud.

Glad I let you win all .... well ... most all of the arguments ... lol :p

Yes you could do it year round. We have a trainer here that does it year round. Me? If you want to hear of an Abilene driver commiting suicide, that would be me if I had to do this full time.

I understand that. I don't have the patience for that.
