Schneider. But I make better money weekly here than some others do even though I'm new. A few circumstances that put me in a higher pay bracket from the start and I seem to have a knack for convincing my dispatcher to pay accessorial. Doesn't mean it's a bad place though. There were a few other reasons I went with the great pumpkin. But take a wonder why I'm recommending others to start. Perhaps I didn't research as well as I should have...

I was also thinking of applying there, but they don't take beginners?recent grads correct?

Hottest summer on record; pick a company with APU's so you can be comfortable on breaks and while sleeping. Many places don't allow a truck to idle; many states, cities, customers, etc.
With an APU (auxillary power unit) just shut the truck engine off and crank up the APU. This way you have heat/air conditioning, electrical power for the television, computer, video games, etc.Robin Williams, Giuseppe Ventolucci, JV_620 and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah that is true. But they do all sorts of things including hiring you and guaranteeing paying for the school you go to if you pass. I'd still check out JP. Their equipment is so much better than ours it's silly. And while 62 sounds slow, trust me when I say it looks hella fast when you're going 60Mike2633 Thanks this.

I would go straight into LTL. I know Old Dominion, ABF, Conway all have driver training programs. Fedex freight and a few others have dock to driver programs. Just an idea. I worked for Pride and they are pretty good as far as OTR is concerned.
Sho Nuff and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this. -
If I lived on the west coast, I'd definitely go to work for Pride Transport

Reddaway will hire you as local with no experience but you'll start driving straight truck until they feel you're ready to drive a tractor trailer
Sho Nuff Thanks this.
