Have a 2001 Volvo VN with a Detroit . When the truck reachs 3mph a low sounding ding is admitted from under the fuse panel..I have NO warning lights or engine codes active. You can even take the truck out of gear and as long the truck exceeds 3mph this bell will ring. I did replace a burnt up headlight relay yesterday and now the driver tells me of this warning bell. Any ideas ????
Thanks

2001 ha daytime running lamps, yes? Perhaps a wire got crossed during loght installation? Do the daytime running lamps work as normal?
I know my '14 Mack (which is closer to your '01 Volvo than some people think) doesn't ignite the daytime running lamps until I hit about 2.5-3mph. -
HAS NO DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS

Well, that kills that idea.

Maybe it is supposed to have daytime running lamps? The only difference between daytime running lamps and not is that some lamps light up when running in the daylight. So if they are supposed to be, but arent....yep...bing bing bing.
Oh, and typing in all caps is the Internet equivalent of screaming at someone. Probably not nice to scream at people you have just asked advice from.Erik Blazer and otherhalftw Thank this. -
He's from Joisie....they actually do yell quite a bit during a "normal" conversation!

this is tough to find without looking at the truck if memory serves me right there should be a breakout box for cab power down there but the only way to find is drive it around and check to see whats making the noise other than that youll be guessing all day and wont have any luck.
