Never had to slide my fifth wheel yet, and some of those beer load, man they push the limits. I'm sure it would be different if I didn't drive a newer freightliner, things are made of plastic these days.

I'm sure everyone knows about steertire rating for that weight. NE DOT wore out ole Hill Bros with the 780 Volvos. If I remember right, 13 ply?

I know on my freightliner, about 75% of fuel weight add/burn is realized in the steer weight

Hang the outside tires off the platform if you can, just half a tire along one side. he he he.
That dates back to when richmond north defended the area with the old platforms in the woods which is now close to 295 I think. Especially in a storm.
