Friend of mine went to TransAm with about 9 yrs. experience and loved the company. He stayed there 2 years and the only reason he left was pressure from his wife to get a local job. He did what she asked and hated that local work.

I can believe it. I can't imagine truckin locally. I'm pretty much all in on this OTR stuff, at least for the time being. If I ever came off the road it wouldn't be for a local drivin job.

I didn't remember the company being a real company, that is interesting info. A long while back, I read that someone had found the remains of the truck that BJ drove, I reckon in the area where they were shooting the program. I believe he restored the truck.

The way the OP writes and commands the english language, you'd almost think he's a recruiter for TransAm :)

I felt like I was reading a Mark Twain short story.

Good luck on your new adventure!

Well, I'm not a recruiter (my parents were married so I seem to be unqualified for the position) but that was an awfully nice thing to say about my writing.

Congrats on continuing your pursuit until it yielded results. Though Trans Am may not be the best job in your future, it's probably the best one for the present. Keep us posted and please, please DON'T LEASE !

Thank you and not to worry about the lease...the handgun large enough to put to my head to make me even consider it has yet to be invented.
