DAT loadboard and internet truck stop are the most popular ones.

My members edge. Same DAT load board but web browser version (good for OTR O/O who look for load while on the go and supports mobile browser). Its very cheap compared to DAT which can range from $250-$500.

Those $250-500 DAT subscriptions are for large companies needing lots of features.

DAT Power is the features a single truck or small fleet operator needs. It's a little higher @ $149 a month but it's a better load board than truckersedge, membersedge etc. Yes, they are the exact same loads with a couple of key differences. Differences that make it worth the cost imo.

The loads hit DAT power first, that's part of what you're paying for with that premium subscription. So many times by the time those loads filter out to mymembersedge, etc they have already been covered. Also when they get covered they disappear off the DAT power board automatically. They don't hang around on there all day. You can also see your competitors posted around you the same as brokers can.

Plus it automatically refreshes with new loads as they pop up. In a market over saturated with trucks you need every little edge like that you can get if you are dependent on load boards. And if you can't afford $149 a month for something at the core of your business why the hell did you buy a truck in the first place?

I like DAT Power the best but also utilize ITS.

Well said. I just mentioned for information purpose, as most of the truckers I know of are working from pay check to pay check. Anyways can you please shed light on ITS? How much it costs and how it works? I never had a chance working on it.

I don't pay for a subscription to ITS anymore. They had a basic version that was around $30 a month and also a version loaded up with extra features like DAT Power for around $150 a month. I had both. The version I have access to now is also a broker version along with normal features searching for truck loads and posting trucks. I actually like the format and layout of ITS more than DAT but even so still think DAT is superior. Another thing I like about ITS is when you click on loads the brokers can see when you clicked on it and how many times. If you aren't even posted they might contact you about the load simply because you clicked on it.

Also when you do a load search brokers have something they can click called "hot prospects" on ITS that shows who is searching for what. And again you might not even be posted but based on what loads you searched for a broker may contact you due to seeing you as a hot prospect. This generates incoming calls to you which puts the ball in your court. As opposed to you calling them about a load which makes it seem as though you are begging for their load. Of course market conditions ultimately dictate who has the ball in their court or not but I'd rather have calls coming in as to be making them personally. DAT Power would be improved if they had these same features so brokers could see when I clicked on their loads. It's really the only shortcoming I see with Power.
