It's not bad if you sit a truck for a month. But if it is winter cold the fuel will gel and it's no good then. That will have to be replaced too. Along with the filters. money money money... whoo hoo. Not. LOL.

Drove a 68 GMC tractor across town for a friend once. Rolling down a country road a mouse jumpes out on the easy seat. Trying to keep from doing anything stupid I just looked over at him and he did the same. Dude popped back down under the seat and down the road we went. When you crawl into a strange truck you never know what can happen.

Lmao way too funny. That's great.
I scrubbed this truck with pineal before I slept in it. Ewww gross. -
I don't mind animals too much it's ok except two. Large 4 foot long rats in the chicago market evaluating me for lunch... where is that colt? Or the Rattler...
Gross does not come into it until you have a animal strike that does not go well leaving you with a mess to hose off and bones etc to pick off the frame and everything. I hate those I really do. -
I'm glad you had the pleasure and not me. I don't have a colt so I'd have to reach for the tire iron.

Sounds like a worth watching reboot of An American Tail with Fievel that little mouse. Anyone remember that? I called DOT and they confrimed that the crack will put me out of service. Thanks everyone for answering.

Animals don't bother me. Just like the Mouse. They are part of life. People on the other hand.

Many years ago, when rust jacking was a real problem, DOT at the EB scale in Downieville/Dumont, OOS'd me because one shoe, on one drum was rust jacked, this was on an empty 20' container and chassis. My total GVW at that moment was 27K.
DOT wanted me to park it and have it repaired, boss was like absolutely not. DOT said it would have to be towed................WHAT? It could be towed behind a wrecker in that condition, but I couldn't haul it behind my tractor in that condition. Yep.
Boss drove up with a length of chain, 2 chain binders, an air compressor, small impact and a bottle jack. Jacked up the tire, wrapped the chain around the axle and frame, tightened the binders to keep the axle raised, yanked the tires off, DOT approved it and away we went back to Denver. That was in 2007, they finally put new brakes on that chassis in 2012 after someone else smoked the hell out of them on Monument.scottied67 and mama_bear Thank this. -
I try to treat everyone with kindness...until they try to step on my toes. Then they have a problem. No one is perfect and we all can't be all things. Yes some people rubb my fur the wrong way. I try todeal with it as diplomatically as i can
