Yeah, that's the new place we've been using the last year. Concentra is all about money grabbing with their trumped up BS about everyone needing a sleep apnea test.

LOL ... thanks everyone. Bout time they stopped using me to make John extra ####tail change for his cruise ... :p

Not sure about all this "true pro & bell curve" stuff but whatever y'all are smoking, don't get caught! LOL

Just got to Richmond about an hour ago with this rescued 1425 Volvo and MT trailer that was there. About 10 miles from the dealer I thought it was failed mission though. Motor started shaking so bad I thought it would jump right out. Caused me to pull over on a tight shoulder at the 94 mm on 64E. Right door against the barrier and left steer on the fog line I couldn't even open a door ... lol

She sat shaking and sputtering as I made a few calls to no avail. Had to keep it running as the batteries were dead when we got to it and needed a jump from the dealer to get started. I noticed it was a bit smoother at higher RPM's so I held it at about 1400 cause at idle I thought it would self destruct!!

Knew there was a rest area about 20 miles further so decide to try and limp it there to get away from a truly dangerous spot. Slid that I shift into manual mode and went for it at high revs. About 4 miles down the road she started coughing and shaking BAD and then ..... cough, puke POP! She smoothed out and ran perfect all the way here.

Already let the shop know it'd be at their door in the morning. Seems fuel related at first guess (water, bad filter maybe) but we'll see. I have quite the list to write up including what sounds like a turbo leak hissing bad when pulling.

Got some minor body damage and the interior could be cleaner but workable if nothing major is wrong with that motor. 351001 on the clock when I got it. I do intend to ask Bill if there's any other choices. If not, I'll work with her. ;)

EDIT: I should add, Bill did tell me this would be my truck so unless something changes, seems like W&S all over again. Lots of TLC! LOL :p

It's one of the company benefits, we get to smoke the really good stuff... Sshhhhhh

Sounds like the new truck is a step up from JBs old bucket of nuts n bolts... She will probably clean up pretty good and shine like none other.

@zigstar this is the main Abilene thread here on TTR... Lots of helpful folks here too... Unfortunately, you need to be able to read between the BS to find the help... LOL

@all ... Zigstar just applied to Abilene.

Please make him feel at home and help him with any questions that he may have. Thanks.

Enjoyed some open road heading down 95 from NJ last night. Got to the terminal at about 6:20 and now waiting for my next load. Hopefully it's taking me home. I am ready to get back and kick back with the family.

    Welcome to the forum @zigstar

Hopefully they get you rolling pretty quickly in some decent wheels. Are you still at the terminal?

    Figured as much. lol
If his first truck was worse than this one, I owe him more credit than I already give him. And trust me, that's a LOT! :)
Just left the terminal at around 9:00am to grab a room at the La Quinta (my home away from truck .. ummm .. home :D). You're welcome to stop by or I'll probably head back over there as John is supposed to arrive this afternoon around 1:00 or so. Shoot me a PM and we'll exchange contact info if you like.

I have 2 days home time (today and tomorrow) in which I figured I'd be setting up my mobile apartment. So much for that plan a I guess. Bill got the truck in the shop first thing this morning. With my laundry list of things to be done, his last words to me were, "Well, hopefully we'll get it all fixed but if not, I'll have to regroup or something" ... lol .. I chuckled and said "hey, a couple extra days in the motel won't break my heart if need be".

I wont lie folks, John and I ran hard and not being able to sleep in a moving truck to begin with and, adding that the upper bunk is like being tossed around a ring by Hulk Hogan, I just plumb wore out. o_O .. Plus I really do have a lot to get ready for hitting the road so an extra day or two would help.

Right now it's coffee, food, a much needed shower, laundry and then SLEEP! In that order. Funny thing is? I'm actually anxious to get setup in a truck and rolling again. :)

They (Concentra) made no mention of a sleep test for me. If they had, I'd have only laughed anyway ... lol
