Since I have been at every CARB workshop within 100 miles since October, and we have all been told 5 minutes, period, no exceptions, WHEN did they revise it? And where did you hear that it had been revised?
-
I do not think they have. If they would have revised it, it would have been updated on their page. They have updated that rules page within the last week and it still has the 5 minute rule. Too bad though. I got excited thinking they had come to their senses.
-
Don't count on them ever coming to their senses.

Just another driver posting false info in an attempt to add gravitas to his statement.

I know Crete isnt perfect but they are better then Swift,UsXpress, Knight. The pay is the biggest difference. Just my opinion, they operate much better and there customers are much better! If you dont like Crete, then I would like to know who do you have to compare to?

Nope, that truck is gone. I'm now driving around in a 2007 Shaffer blue truck with 230,000 miles on it. I thought I would be getting a new truck, but my old one came up for trade-in before the new trucks were in (Crete now has a few hundred sitting in the Lincoln yard, both Freightshakers and Internationals.), but I missed out on one of those.

Anyway, since there were no new trucks availible they stuck me with a used truck.
It all worked out for the best, at least from my point of view. All the new trucks use battery packs to run auxiliary a/c and heating (no inverter with these), whereas the used 2007s and some of the 06s are getting APU.
Here's my brand new shiny baby:

I was a bit surprised to get one so soon. I just sent in a message to my FM and ask if I could get an APU asap since I missed out on getting a new truck. A few days later I was sitting in a hotel room paid for by Crete waiting for my APU install. It's like a little bit of heaven on earth, sort of, it sure it a noisy little #######!
I got a Carrier unit. I'm not even sure if Crete has started installing TK units, haven't seen any of them around yet.
I've already stopped off at WalMart and to get my Microwave, $35, what a deal.Last edited: Aug 21, 2008
Rollr4872 Thanks this. -
ooooo shiny lol!!
I was in lincoln a few weeks ago and sat in one of the new International prostars, and i must say i'm a fan. Very nice trucks! -
You all are venting and that is great. But don't tell someone to quit if their pansy ### is not happy. That is not venting that is just being rude. If someone ask if they should quit, then give them your opinion, but till then keep it to yourself or at least keep it professional. Making comments like that is not helping. Unitl you can walk in their shoes at least give someone the common courtesy and refrain from name calling. That's all I have to say about that. Don't mean any disrespect towards anyone, this is just my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
Evertrucker, when are we going to get one of your updates. I really enjoy those.
baseballswthrt Thanks this. -
So do all those trucks come in on flatbeds, or does Crete have you guys pick them up and drive them in? Thats alot of hardware there.
