Might I make another suggestion? If you haven't already done so, go do some reading in the LTL section here on the forums. There are at least 4 Food Service or US Foods threads that are current as of 16 Jun 2016. Might give you a little better idea of what to expect.

Goals in trucking is a question only yourself can answer. What do you want out of it?
Me? I had two. See the USA and have fun doing it. I saw the USA and yes I had some fun. But it's not all fun. That's ok.
Im one of the lucky ones out there. I did not kill anyone that I know of and I did not lose my freedom as some do. And I still have all the body parts I was born with more or less. But with that said, I did lose a number of years of future because of the wear and tear along with accumulated injuries against myself. When I started this thing, Truckers did not get past 60 much. Im over 50 now and finished with it. A tad early. But that's ok too.
Life has a interesting way of dealing cards to you, and sometimes opportunities come up. And with that said I consider myself extremely fortunate. And Im actually happy with the way things are working out. Even today.
I don't expect to be around long, but even tonight there are still oppertunites being pursued and it's going to be a good time. And until that day I intend to do the best I can with what I have. Part of that is teaching the young ones here where possible.Broke Down 69 and SHOJim Thank this. -
I only had one goal: Live until I died. Twenty-five plus years later in the trucking industry, I'm still on track for reaching my goal.

Questions like this make me scratch my head, squint my eyes and tilt my head in an unusual angle. You seem to have no direction or idea what you want to accomplish and are asking perfect strangers to provide it for you.
You implied you don't want to bust tail but you want good money. In my experience those two goals are mutually exclusive.88 Alpha, GoneButNotForgotten and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Many young people grew up helicopter mom'ed to death they don't know how to show initiative and drive to make not just a living but also to thrive and do the things that Adults are expected to do after a certain young age.
With that said, I have met a number of lucky ones who go into a trade like HVAC, Welding, Large industry and so on and they will go on to raise large families and someday be a business dynasty and hire dozens to tens of thousands of people.
But there is always a percentage who go into gangs and usually do nothing. Those parasites will be eliminated in time as they usually are through death, Jail.
But.. what saddens me is that many young ones come out of school and show no power. As if they want to pretend to work while pretending to make a lot of money for nothing. To do as little as possible. This is a dangerous trend if true for our Country. We stand to lose it all because China working at a dollar per hour is doing quite a bit of what we ourselves are not doing here at home for example.Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
