I'm thinking something stupid is going on with your situation it usually is. the idiot syndrome we talked about before. when's the last time you tightened every bolt on your mount ??? the pole included ??? not trying to be a smart ### either everything matters....

Well i did everything except the mirror mount bolts..Was thinkin about that earlier...When i installed them i coated the area with silicone and untill earlier didnt think it would be a factor..
Last night i added a 10g ground wire from mount to back of my mfj..Im seeing some #'s change..Im thinkin its a ground plain, counterpoise issue..Its something rabbi and hard drive mentioned..They suggested other ways to do what ridgeline suggested in a simple way..
I know these #'s on the mfj are way off but im parked between trucks but my point is the difference in the #'s

The stud is only as strong as the bottom half.
That is always the weakest part. Making a big giant Industrial top part distracts your attention from the weak bottom part.

I've never ever had a issue with that stud ever.my antenna is heavier than any predator out there. there are amphenol connectors pl259 and Teflon connectors i use the Teflon pl259 with r g 213 cable which most people will say is base station cable. it all works very well for me and a massive stainless mount helps ......

Try putting a 4 pound weight at the end of a 4 foot long stick Swing it around and feel how heavy it is and just imagine bolting that stick to the stud. Do you think it would be able to support that amount of stress?
Just imagine hitting a tree branch at 65 miles an hour with something like that

didn't think the flat part of a new aluminum mount would snap in two with a 30k attached so anything is possible ??? especially with the winds coming out of Cheyenne heading westbound on 80

you definitely have something weird going on and when it gets figured out all of us including myself will probably have a duh moment. it'll be something totally obvious and something we all overlooked. .
