No doubt these guys do a good job overall.

    Tow,
Before I decided to come here you made a comment about ..If there is money to be made here I will find a way

This was probably one of my deciding factors coming here, you dont know unless you try and with all the positives I saw they offered I had to at least give it a shot.

I too have no plans on leaving until I retire,

The only 2 things that will see my quick departure and probably my exit from this industry is driver facing cameras and mandated sleep apnea testing.

With the complacency of the driver pool willing to put up with whatever #### government/carriers throw at them to earn a paycheck those 2 things will come at some point, I will not work in those conditions..Period

I agree with driver facing cameras but as to sleep apnea testing i differ.

While i was at Gordon they started a mandatory program and my wife and i both were tested.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and my wife was not.
Gordon paid for everything including the machine and subsequent supplies.
Since i started using it i have never slept better.
For six years now i have never been without it and would never consider sleeping without it.

This is a true health issue and your weight does not determine whether you have it or not.
My Doctor said that obesity is a symptom of sleep apnea.

This is good to hear about the company. I agree with not working for companies with driver facing cameras and that's why I'm looking to make a change. I've been with my company for 5 years and overall they are pretty good but they are installing driver facing cameras and I won't work under those conditions.

I'd almost really think that big g would ever sell to heartland if they were to sell...at least big g has standards unlike heartland..

Well I parted ways with Big G on Tues night wasnt making much money weekly paychecks in the whole month of july werent over 631 I was highly disappointed. Only lasted there 2 months after being a rehire, Im use to paychecks around 850-1100 a week, I found a small 15 truck operation close to home and no weekend work so Im going to give them a try. Nice people to work for at big g but they need to up the pay and give out enough miles to get the bonus maybe alot had to do with living in VA but I dont know why since I live on there travel lane, well I will continue to follow this thread, I wish all big g drivers the best it just wasnt a good fit for me and my family. Have a good weekend!!!

631 is that gross or net?

What was the issues with miles...sitting between loads/too much time on loads?

    How often was hometime

    Truck issues/breakdowns?

If 631 is gross that is garbage

Did you have issues with DM

Did you express your expectations to others higher up the chain/being proactive...if so did they offer options

I know not all have similar experiences just trying to see what YOUR pitfalls here were...not saying it was you just looking to see what the issue(s) were which may help others in same circumstances.

GL on the next gig..hopefully it is a better fit !!

631 was my average net pay not very impressive that was 6 week average. I usually got home sat and left late sunday night every week. I liked Dm I had but he didnt communicate with me much, I tired but no luck. They tried to talk me out of leaving but I already had another job lined up at that point. I just need and want more money so far for my first week at my new job in 6 days I ran 3200 miles and still get the whole weekend off and never sit between loads everything is done through text message and no computers in trucks which is a plus for me plus Im getting 3 cents per mile more than big g.

Just got home from my normal 11 days out and had 5400 miles.

I don't do anything out of the ordinary..i do run nights when necessary and never refuse a load.

I just run the loads they dispatch me on and get after the next.
