After CRST hit me I certainly wouldn't want him parked next to me.

I'll take a shot at the securement.

I'd be using pipe stakes on the front. I'd also have run straps on the bottom layer in the front. I count only 12 straps being used and our ( CRST Malone) flats normally have 14 ratchets.

Funny thing about that stop, I have only been there three times, and all three there was a parking lot mishap. 2 on the end of a row with someone turning too tight and one backing incident in the last row on the end, near the propane tank. The "driver" hit the other truck so hard and off center he pushed the tractor into the truck to the right as well. Wish I had pictures of that one! I second the comment earlier about the ACT, much better stop, and although it has been a few years I bet it is still good.

Now I may just be a dumb mechanic but why hasn't anyone thought of pounding in some really heavy steel posts or concrete blocks at the intersections of these parking lots. Might save a hood or 2 at the end of the row?

I'm thinking more along the lines of several straps on the bottom layer then straps over the top.

At least they are on the inside of the rub rails.

Great idea, I will put them in and then sit there with a tire truck, sure to sell some tires and wheels the way these fellas drive anymore! I like the way you think, but seriously I don't know why other than less stuff the truck stop owns to be hit, look at how many other poles and barriers are in these places that are all twisted up and bent over.
