What do you use your computer for most?

E-mail, these forums, and my photography right now. That will change soon, as I will be using it for work.

 

Most of my computer time is spent reading trucking and racing forums. The best one is Truckers Report, but I also participate in a Dutch forum comparing trucking in America and Europe. I have an album on the major truck photo forum, and I keep up with the antique truck restoration crowd.

My wife spends her computer time playing Free Cell. She also participates on her home town's invitational web site. She is from Dyess, AR, a town built by the government during the Depression. We listen to our favorite music on Pandora. Youtube is also a source of music from the 1950s and '60s.

We use the computer for the usual tasks such as email and photo storage, but not for banking. We consult the Internet for everything that requires more information. Yesterday, I was searching for info about exterminating underground bees or yellow jackets that I discovered while painting our eves and gutters.

 

We use it for work (My WIFE does), e-mail (all of us), surffing ( had a hard time getting it to float tho), lookin' at girlly pitchers ( and old cars and trucks and motorscooters), well just about everything.

 

The truckers report. E mail, banking. My children also use it alot playing games.

 

Mapping and routing, we are members of several forums, kids homework, banking and paying bills, shopping, and playing games.

 

Do you take your computor on the road with you ? can you find wireless ? while on the road ?

 

Everything from poker to research, bills, forums, learning, googling, banking, email, and will soon be using it to help with map routing. Pretty much if it can be found on the net or done with a computer then that is the way I go about it. I have an Alltel phone, HTC Touch, with unlimited data and text. I just go into programs using Windows Mobile 6 and use internet sharing to get unlimited internet access with my laptop by connecting with usb, also charges it too so win win setup. Download speeds aren't as good as with a card I don't believe but average around 120 KB/sec. so its fast enough for what I need. Streaming video like Youtube or watching tv shows no problem. Also don't have to pay anthing extra by using my phone as the modem. Hard to imagine life nowadays without a computer, mobile internet access, and a cellphone.
