We lost a set of good years with only 21K on a car sold in walmart when they displayed fatal pending defects in the actual sidewall. Walmart managed to wriggle out of that little go around.

These were supposed to be 80K tires and we do have a history of getting between 89 to 100K out of these particular tires and frankly it's a waste. But it's only a waste if you don't pretrip catch the problem before it really became a tragety.

    You do pretrip right?

Walmart will not be getting our money on cars anymore it's Michelin for cars and Han-kook for Trucks I usually put on tires capable of between 3000 to 5000 pounds loading each because I carry wood now and then. I cannot stand crappy tires.

The problem with the centering pins is that as soon as you go down the road the wheel starts moving if your hub pilot is worn. The sleeve nuts stop the wheel from moving. I put every other one on. 5 per wheel at $8 each so $80 total. I did not believe my tire guy when he explained it to me. I could not believe the difference. I put them on my drives too. The truck handles way better. It is not about balance.

I have the Michelins on my car too. Crappy in the snow. I put General Altimas on my daughters car and she goes right through it. Tire Rack rated the Generals very highly and my truck tire guy also sells car tires recommended them. I am getting a set for my car this winter.

She has a Kia Soul and I have the new style Buick Lacrosse. Two different vehicles, but I am confident they will work fine for me too.

I've got xza3 on one truck and firestone 591 on another. I like em both but I like the 300 bucks a tire less of the firestone better.
