Regardless, the heaviest weight there is 20k combined. That trucks 6500. What's that trailer weigh? I'd say 5500-6k, thats leaving you with 9k capacity... At the best case scenario, never mind the driver, the fuel, the chains and tarps, his dog lol his extra front bumper, and all the crap he has in the back. So even if that was only 1k of gear, that leaves you with 8k capacity. At best.

Your using a chart to pre-determine the gvwr of that truck and trailer.
Having been in the hotshot business.. I know for a fact that truck when set up properly... (Air bags, proper tires etc) that little pickup could easily go down the road safely at 20k lbs.
We tease and make fun of idiots who lack work ethic and fortitude. The guys that do dumb things like covering his brake lights with a wide load banner. Or using straps to secure 30k lb steel coils. Thats stupidity.
You posted a pic of a guy trying to make his own way. No one with half a heart is going to kick that guy down.
HurstShooterK2 and John Dewart Thank this. -
So we're going to rip a guy because we're simply guessing at the numbers. For all we know he may normally haul drain tile or a similar product that would work just fine on your guess of his capacities.
A good share of my loads are in the 7500-10k range on my 48' flat and step. Guess it's not possible he can haul some legal loads right? -
I know what your saying. But when I see a clapped out 3/4 ton pulling a giant 40 something foot trailer, I see danger. It didn't have bags. It's not like I'm here posting a picture of a guy with a dually pulling the same trailer

The gvw of the combination is only 6500?
-
I dont think you do.
I own a clapped out looking Columbia. Yet some how I manage to have never had a bad DOT inspection.
Looks arent everything.
Judge not.. least ye be judged.
HurstMACK E-6, Chewy352 and John Dewart Thank this. -
No at maximum with 4.10 gears he can get up to 20,000. The curb weight on the truck is 6500ish depending on configuration, the max tow weight is 13,950.
-
Your Columbia does NOT look clapped out lol.
-
Not from 100ft away.
Up close and personal.. there is quite a bit to nit pick about. 1.3 million miles.. there are many battle scars.

Thing looks way cleaner than the international I was just in. And it only had 400k
