Hitting the road inn the morning for the Pittsburgh area, delivery Wednesday morning.

I have another mouth to feed--Chloe, a prissy 5-year old German Shepherd Dog mix rescued from a local shelter where she was having a difficult time due to her size and age (plus her intolerance for other dogs and children).

She had been alone in her cage for a month and wouldn't even look up any more when people walked by. We are wooing her and already getting some affection and energy from her.

Just gotta treat a hot spot on her back leg (stress licking). Got some spray at Wal-Mart for that.

Sorry no pics yet because many phone sucks. I'm switching back to my Galaxy this week and will be able to do more.

    Woof.

Eating dinner at a Chinese restaurant after returning rental car (Dodge Dart SXT--very nice).

They're playing Christmas music softly over the PA.

The buffet is good, though, so....

Mutt, actually. Just mostly Shepherd. She's pretty gentle...actually a little prissy.

    Funny you should mention that....

This morning after walkies I was opening the door to the truck when I felt a tug on the lead. When I looked, she was halfway across the parking lot. She went to the grass, did a lap, spotted me, and ran right up to me all smiles. When I was clipping the lead back on her I saw that I had originally put the clip on her tag loop (thin wire loop). I bent it back into shape and took her back to the rig--she didn't even pull.

So she wants to run sometimes, but she hasn't bolted from the truck. And she's showing me I can trust her to go crazy in a field somewhere every now and then.

Still looking for a favorite toy--she doesn't give a #### about the rope bone I got her.

Won't actually be in Pittsburgh but nearby; I'll post it after lunch. If it's feasible to come get us I'd love to take you up--but The Hot Chick wouldn't be able to come because she can't eat too early and we're still working on alone time for Chloe (not too much just yet).

I'll PM you my digits and maybe you can call me to see if it can work out....
