I know the feeling. I dread delivering to car dealers for the same reason.

A Loves? It's a whole parkinglot full of idiots. They way they cram into the place, you would think they're handing out free brain cells.MJ1657 and johndeere4020 Thank this.

So why split weigh? Are you no longer considered an axle group on a spread axle?
I'm guessing it's so you aren't overweight on one axle. Or for one set of tires, etc. -
But even in a group you still have a max axle weight, and if a spread is close you want to know it.DDlighttruck Thanks this.

I'd read GA and maybe VA were giving out tickets on that. Ok, I'll add this to the list of "to learn"
-
Ohio and Indiana will for sure I think most would.DDlighttruck Thanks this.

That's what I was saying in my earlier post. But nobody confirmed that it could be done. Maybe I should have made my post a questionDDlighttruck Thanks this.

That you could get a ticket? Or that you could split weigh?
IF I remember right, @catalinaflyer said the biggest obstacle to split weighing was the raised scales like most CAT scales are. I did read up on it, it has never been brought up by anyone I work with to pursue more.
I think @RedForeman got one, or his son did. Something like 19,000 on one axle, and 14,900 on the other. Under the 34,000, over on the 17,000.catalinaflyer and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
Split weigh on trailer tandems. Not that I need to, but other drivers who are curious and want to be legal. I'm sure they could benefit from this info.DDlighttruck Thanks this.
