I just checked into a hotel. Got inside and sat down for 10 minutes and was like yeah f... this I'm going back to my cozy truck. Got my refund and waiting for shuttle to take me back. Hahaha
I have every single amenitie in this hotel than I do in my truck. Actually my direct TV has more channels.
She is in the terminal getting the pos avoidance collision system fixed -
Always have a hard time sleeping in a truck stop. Every time I hear or feel it moving truck near mine I check to see if someone's going to hit it. Most of the time I'll sleep better shipper receiver or rest area.
Left coast trucker Thanks this. -
Must of been a roach motel at least you can walk around and have a shower and bathroom.

When I first started driving OTR, it was a bit difficult to get sleep, but after awhile, it became normal, and slept just fineFLYMIKEXL Thanks this.

#####....is this common?
-
So common for OTR if you want to stay busy and make money. Face it, there's not much to do out here, sure some have tvs and laptops but for the most part you want to work to pass the time. I got used to sleeping on unloads or loads, like come wake me up if your going to take 5 hours to load me, otherwise I'll be in when I'm rested and awake.
I sleep so much better in my truck, ac pumping nice and cold, a blanket, vibrations on my back like one of those massage chairs, and I even look forward to counting the trucks as they wizz by, by truck 15 I'm passed out. -
I'm beginning to think I'm lucky I don't have a sense of smell. I can take the stinkiest trainer they got.
-
I hope that's the case for me. Two of my worries getting into this is getting good sleep and bathroom stops mostly when on the trainers truck. After i'm on my own those things can be taken care of easier because i'm the captain of my ship.
