I'm not a fan of the affiliate system either.
I did well when I first came here and ran out into the system, but it took me 3 weeks to get home.
I had no idea there is really no such thing as "out and back" from your home terminal.

There were a couple of threads by people that signed on recently . They've all faded away tho....
The franchised terminal deal is a red flag.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Supposedly corporate is on a rampage this year and taking over 25 terminals by years end. They already have Ft Worth and Jonesboro, GA that I know of.
Nit sold on whether that's a good thing or not, but I think if QC is going to retain drivers and owner operators in competition with places like Heniff which has a centralized streamlined dispatch they better consider doing away with the affiliate thing entirely.
CC Cob is an affiliate system too.
Blah.x1Heavy and slim shady Thank this. -
I talked to CC Cob, and some of their drivers. Seems like the affiliates play nicer with each other then at QC, but in the end I ruled them out for other reasons.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -

Ft worth I heard, didn't know about GA, and I also heard Calvert city too. Idk about the other 22......heard QC was actually losing money so they bought them out or something along those lines.x1Heavy Thanks this.

Most of this is true, although safety/corporate mostly harasses the terminal manager about speed. Although slowly being implemented is a new system for speeding and it sounds like it's going to be zero tolerance for the most part but that's it you go 6mph over the posted speed limit. They also cut the pedal speed to 60 and cruse to 65 for corporate terminals. Affiliates still can go 70-72 I think.
As for QC being in financial difficulties I'm not sure. Although I think QC in Chicago is an affiliate so they must be having the problems and wouldn't surprise me if they got bought out soon. Seems QC is turning a lot of affiliate terminals with bad incomes, and other reasons to corporate.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Yeah...
I got nailed a bunch of times already by the Speed Gauge program. They can have it. It's ridiculous.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
I hear you. the only reason I'm here is for the union bennies and they pay isn't too bad either. If I was to be affiliate I'd get experience and move onto like superior or something.x1Heavy, ChicagoJohn and TransplantBadger Thank this. -
anyone work for qc out of ft worth? they have been wanting me to bring my truck over but dont know anyone that has worked there or is there. wanting to get back to pulling a tank.
x1Heavy Thanks this.
