Hi I have a question . My husband recently applied at a few of the dc and we were wondering how long does the status stayed at "under consideration " ? He has his cdl for 3 years and has about 325000 miles , no accidents no points . Does he even stand a chance since he doesn't have a million miles ?

You don't have to have a million miles. I can't remember the mileage minimum because I knew I was way over it. But they do want you to have 3 years OTR and a good driving record.Emyclark84 Thanks this.

If your DC is like mine, you'll have to stay on that program until they do "realignment". So, that should give you time to figure out if you like the money.
In general, common sense would indicate that if you're only working about 2/3 the time, then you'll make roughly 2/3 the money, right?
BTW, my trainer is on a 3/2 and has been for 12 years. He loves it. -
Congratulations!!
Welcome aboard.georgear1084 Thanks this. -
He does have 3 years and as of driving record I believe he does . No accidents , on time delivery . He applied in the dc in Indiana on the 28th so we hope he will get a call . I heard that most of the time they won't consider you if you only have 3 years

It will depend on the area, and how many higher qualified people they get. Some areas are harder to attract quality highly experienced drivers than others, and with many retirements, there are a lot of seats to fill.
All I can say is he keep trying. My husband knew he was going to be a Walmart driver 7 years before he was. It is worth waiting for.
Good luck to him.

The 6/3 is great for time off. That's the 'time off program', and I loved it, but the 6th day you run won't (seldom will be) be a full day, therefore you won't make as much on that day as the first 5 days, which will keep your ADP down below what you could make. So say you make 350.00/day 5 days a week, your ADP will be 350.00. But if you work a 6th day, you will not make the same as the first 5 days, so for example, you make 200.00 your last (6th) day. Your ADP will be 325.00. Of course this is over simplifying it as it is based on a rolling 13 week pay period average and you may make less or more than what I used in my example. You won't go broke, but the tradeoff is the time home, which realistically is about 3 1/2 days.grabberblue12, drozzer69 and TomOfTx Thank this.
