Meet Chloe. She's starting to understand that we're not going to leave her anywhere.

Found a 1985 Omni GLH in driveable condition for $1,000.00-- anybody wanna lend me $1,000.00??

This thing was a GTI killer in it's day and is quite rare.

If it was a turbo or a GLH-S I'd be selling a kidney to get it.

I hate missing out on a collectible factory hot rod (especially a Shelby)...sob

Buddy had an '86 Shelby Charger Turbo, definitely a chick magnet in the late 80's. I actually liked the GLHS better, it looked like a run of the mill Omni with fat tires (for the day). Definitely a sleeper.

The GLH was a Camaro hunter. The GLH-S was a 6.5 second 0-60 capable Porsche hunter.

They only made 500 GLH-S models. I've seen one on the street, but the guy told me it was a GLH that he'd rebadged and cut the louvre in the hood and added the aero bits.

The one I'm looking at is a non turbo model. I'm going to work it out if at all possible. But probably it will slip through my desperate fingers--timing is everything in life. And resources, by which I mean money, of which I have none.

Do you subscribe to the Hemmings Sports & Exotics magazine? They do several features per month that would be right up your alley

I've seen it. I used to use Hemmings to source parts for my sports cars when I was younger and had money. And time. And a life.

Since my back taxes payment has just doubled effective September, I have nothing to spare for things like magazine subscriptions.

Also looks like this is gonna be a cr#p week because of my time off.

    Sigh. Back to the grind.

A Taurus is on your hate list, what are your thoughts on the SHO model?
