We were diverted to the Savannah terminal this morning to get a skully ball installed on our trailer. Colonial wouldn't let us pick up without it mounted. Taking it to a plywood mill south of Birmingham. Didn't look to be much going on at the terminal except a couple CT guys.

Yeah, the Savannah terminal is CT's headquarters. There are 7 CTL drivers there, including me currently. In a week they'll be 6 of us once our sole Savannah otr driver will leave. Looks like ill take his spot. I had today off as my trainer had a doctors appointment. I should be going with a Jacksonville system trainer for my last week of training.

Good luck! I've got about 10 days left, got to run to Mobile, south Louisiana, then up to Minnesota, back to ATL, then I should 'graduate' and get to do a week of local driving to get used to PPE (which we apparently almost never use OTR, other than hard hat/boots/gloves. They tell me my training has been 'back-asswords' from the normal. I'll see you out there.

    Music to my ears! :D

I felt a bit jaded for doing 3 weeks of local/regional runs. Though its good to know I've seen and done the worst that this job has to over. Drink plenty of water before and after being in that PPE!

You don't want to run in the Northeast without an ezpass... NY thruway between PA and Albany will run you about $95 cash, ezpass its discounted about $20. GWB is...$105 cash, the Tappan Zee is now cashless so you'll have to pay that online. You should tell whomever at CTL to get you an ez pass and pre pass if you are going to run OTR. I pay $0.50/month as a fee for my ez pass through NY EZPass and it easily saves me $100+/month.

Hey, if you get David down in Jacksonville as a trainer, tell him I said hi. Don't know if he'll remember me.

Good luck Robot. Something happened to me today, If you stop at a truck stop, make sure to walk around your trailer before you leave. Had some ####### unscrew the external valve knob off of my rear unloader all the way today. It was sitting on the DOT bumper. It was tight as can be during pre-trip so I know they did it while I ran in the Loves. Thank god they weren't stupid enough to screw with the internal valve. Could've been a freakin mess. Be safe and have fun out there.

Thankfully you caught that Lad. I caught my rear placard missing today after we stop at Love's. I suspect it was the heavy rain we went through. We are taking load of caustic to Gainesville GA and staying the night at.........Motel 6.

Woah I've been ran like a dog this week. Blew through my 70 hours (from Monday to today). We started in Savannah and took a load of caustic to Gainesville GA. We then went south, through Atlanta, to Macon GA to load turpentine. The Macon place (Graphics) took us 3 hours as they used a piston powered blower to pump product in our tank, and my trainer used the wrong straping chart for our tank. They over filled us my account 1000 pounds and had to spend time dumping the overfill in the waste pond right next to us. Once that was over, we headed on down to Lake City FL to spend the night. We were suppose to have made it to Jacksonville by then.

    To be continued
