    I wanted a Marauder but they only made them for two years and in very low numbers. They can be kinda pricy these days. Everyone knew from the jump that they were going to be collector cars. The Crown Vic Sport looks similar to the Marauder (no chrome, body color grills and bumpers, floor shifter) but lacks the twin cam engine and about 100 hp and costs way way less.

    Saw a Vic in Hickory NC when I used to live there--guy had murdered it (black on black, black rims, black lens covers, dark tint) and it had a Mustang Cobra drive train and brakes. 6 speed manual with side exit exhausts. The tag read "M HUNTR" and I wish I had that thing. He had racing buckets, fire suppression, Simmons harnesses and an SCCA spec roll cage. It was his driver; I assume he autocrossed it.

    Durn sexy beast.

    He offered me a ride when I talked to him about it. Said it corners like a Vette with the chassis mods he did. I had no time. Sob.

    Spent the night in Franklin KY, 480 miles to rec in Berea OH due 0600. Took the morning off to shower and be a slug. Moving out in a few to spend night at rec.
