This is the quick story. Went to Roadmasters got sick from standing outside for 10 hours in very heavy rain, Took time off to see a dr & put on antibiotics. Called was told ok. Back on Monday told I was discharged & escorted off the property. They already had my money & WIA gov't money. Went to another school & became proficient & passed backing & road tests first time. They did not give me a certificate, Thy said due to the special discounted price I was given. I have a LEGAL CDL-A. It appears LEGAL just is not enough. Now they want you to buy your job. To make it it worse my temp job ended Friday. Not just me but all the temps at the factory. These are the facts & I don't appreciate snide smug responses from those lucky enough to have employment..

despite his nature, I don't think Aftershock was being snide or rude. It sounded like an honest question- he certainly beat me to it.

As for WIA - I'd be talking to the WIA administrator. Sure,it gets you nada, but alerts them to the issue and maybe gets THEIR money back. Not sure what you can do about getting your money back as it's probably earmarked for books and the like which were already given you.

When I hired on at May, they asked to see my school transcripts. Not so much, I think, because they care much about anything on them, but to ensure I really did attend the school I said I did.

I,too, applied at Stephens. When I went in to talk to them, I just got a hinky feeling, and didn't pursue it any farther. It may have simply been a wild hair trapped between my shoulderblades, but I just wasn't comfortable with them.

If you've passed the CDL tests and all, and you do have a valid CDL-A, you should definitely be employable. The school issue might make it interesting getting OTR, though. Might make sense to take a look at local stuff.
