I'm crossing my fingers, legs, streets, and all my T's for you, too, and as well, Angel M80.
It's nice to hear things are going good for y'all right now, and I sure hope that trend continues. I find it difficult and somewhat depressing to read all the horror stories from well intended folks such as yourself who are just trying to earn an honest living --- being taken advantage of with the dishonest practices of C.R. England.

I'm seriously sincere when I tell you that I'm anxiously awaiting to read even ONE success story from SOMEone at C.R.E., be they a company driver or lease operator. But I'm beginning to feel like that TV show Myth Busters as the bad reports keep coming in. Surely there MUST be at least ONE person driving a Big truck for C.R.E. who isn't experiencing the beginning of the end as they watch their hard work, confidence, finances and savings go gurgling down the drain.

It's no secret that, as a company, I despise C.R. England for what that company does to good folks, but please understand that that feeling does NOT extend to those who are driving a Big Truck for C.R.E. I wish there was SOMEthing I could do to help those who find themselves betwixt a rock and a hard place once C.R.E. puts them there, ..... but there isn't a thing I know that can help them at that point. About all I CAN do is warn those who are about to make the same mistake that others before them have made BEFORE they make the same mistake(s). Some of them listen and take heed, and some don't. Those who don't listen usually return here to report that the horror stories ARE true, as they're experiencing them first-hand. I take NO pleasure in reading those stories, other than I hope their stories will prevent others from diving into the deep end, only to find there's very little water in the pool. That makes for a very hard landing, I'm sure. After that, it's just treading water and trying to stay afloat until they're rescued. Some find a life preserver, and some just sink to the bottom after losing everything and giving up.

It seems that C.R. England sets folks up to fail, while C.R. England, the company, steams off into the sunset with their pockets full of bounty made off of the hard work and sweat of their employees. The way C.R.E. has it set up, their collective heads always seem to remain above water as they watch their drivers go under without so much as throwing them a life preserver. It's more like C.R. England pushes their driver's heads farther under, all the while smiling as the weight of C.R. England's profits require the company to use all the available life saving methods themselves. The ol' After me, you come first attitude.

No doubt that's at least one of the reasons C.R. England deems it necessary to enlist the services of armed guards and utilize metal detectors to serve and protect themselves from the monsters they're creating.
For the powers that be C.R. England, it's a win-win situation.

When others follow C.R.E.'s foolproof plan for success, it's a recipe for failure --- at best. And complete ruination at worst. Has ANYone written a success story by following the C.R.E. game plan?

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if C.R. England makes MORE money off the many failures than they would if those failures were successful. Why else would C.R. England continue with their dishonest practices if they weren't reaping a reward of their own? Could C.R. England actually be deriving some sort of sick pleasure as a direct result of their practices? Wouldn't you reckon a GOOD person would see and realize that what they're doing is causing other good folks to fail, BIG time, and curtail those practices immediately, and change them for the positive and better? I firmly believe that those who wear the C.R.E. crown while perched high atop their lofty vantage point surrounded by metal detectors and armed guards, actually delight in watching failure after failure after failure, time and time again happening down below among the masses, as those failures for the masses mount up to masses and masses of profits continuing to run UPhill, and into bank accounts opened under the name C.R. England.

If all those failures DIDN'T add up to a profit for the company, and/or the company was actually losing money as a result of it's drivers failures, it stands to reason their policies would change, --- or they'd fail too, and go out of business.

There's no doubt in my mind that C.R. England IS profiting from other's failures. That's why C.R. England is so eager to "help" as many folks as they possibly can experience what it's like to "learn" how to be successful. Just not necessarily the employee's success, but rather the employer's success.

And if THAT doesn't make y'all wanna cry, well, ............ your heart must be stronger and/or harder than mine, ....... 'cause it makes me wanna go postal and open up an industrial sized can-0-WhuP, and give it ALL to C.R. England.

Just got an update from my friend who is leasing a truck from CRE...She got an 09 Cascadia , & has had 2 loads her husband is testing today for his upgrade & she loves her DM ( Dispatcher) & so far everything is roses......

 

Hopefully they will be the one aception, and have good luck with CRE.

BTW, you may have mentioned, and I've forgotten, but how long has your friend been with C.R. England?

 

My brother and i took a 3 day ride to salt lake to team with england back in 2000. We were Not put in thata motelfor oreintation.but in a room that resembled an army barracks with a buncha other guys.not a good time there.We had a good run though.from chicago to san deago,ca.we live in central il.home every wknd.BUT one mon we went to pick up our load for cali (conway terminal) in aurora,il. conway told us we no longer had that contract.hmm.had to be told by them not cr.england.We could never get ahold of our fleet mangr.So we cleaned out our trk.and went our merry way to bigger and better things.We live and Learn.

 

How does your post make them a bad company seems like they lost a good contract with another company then you jumped ship.
I could understand the housing was not that good but as everone says there are good and bad things about any company.

 

CRE IS a bad company. That is a given. What is up with not being able to get hold of your fleet manager. And it would be pretty humiliating to get told by the shipper that you were toast. That's real top notch management. Communication with your dispatcher is all you have on the road. What you supposed to do if they leave you sitting out there like a lemming. I imagine he has a lot better gig now any way. Couldn't be much worse than CRE. They are lower than whale s#@t.

 

I understand CRE has a bad rep but I was just commenting on his post. A lot of starter company's are bad.

Company's loose contracts sometimes how does loosing a contract make him say they are a bad company?

CRE and most OTR company's will tell you as a driver you are the face of the company to the shipper/receiver/public. So is the dispatcher exempt from this? No, they represent the company to the driver and act on behalf of the company that hired them to do so.
And the statement below says the company sucks since the dispatcher may have sucked and is a representative of the company.

People make up a company's identity and if those people suck, then the company sucks.

 

So here is another update. Just a refresher, I DO NOT DRIVE for CR England but my hubby does. He has been there since Oct. 07 and yes this is his first trucking job. I do wish we were one of the few success stories, but we are not.
I can honestly say that the problem is not entirely England. The problem is when my hubby signed that lease (against my strongly expressed opinions) he genuinely thought it was the best way to go. He chose a new truck with very low miles on it. 2008 freightliner century something or other lol. This piece of crap truck has been the big problem. He spends more time in detroit deisel repair shops than he does at home.
When his truck is running well he does seem to get good miles. It also seems that if the miles start to fall off then he gets into a big blow out with his DM and things get back on track. (Crazy if you ask me. I told him to be nice and respectful to his DM but that just got him crap loads LOL) His truck has some new regen system in it and it has just been a nightmare. He has tried convincing the lease dept. to let him trade his truck but since it still under warranty they won't do anything. So until the warranty runs out he is stuck in this piece of crap truck!!!
I guess if the truck ran correctly then maybe we would have a good England story. There were times when it got rough, but all drivers go through that. I have posted about some of the problems we have had, but honestly looking back those crappy weeks were more of a truck issue than an England issue. ALTHOUGH if you wanted to blame England for not taking the truck back and letting him lease a new one then YES IT IS ENGLANDS FAULT LOL.
Hubby is looking for another company since he has nearly one year OTR under his belt now.
Sharkey is looking promising. And Heyl, but I can't find to much info on either. Maybe that is because people are more apt to tell of their horror stories with a company than their positive ones.
