Measuring tire circumference

    As for why to measure them? I can only relate my own experience.... I had two out of round steer tires shaved to match exact circumference in order to run them next to each other on a single hub.

    I guess if you were trying to match up used tires to run as duals you'd want them to be the same circumference too.

    Well, running uneven duals isn't exactly ideal. Just looking for something to make it a little easier for the shop, that's all.
    Goodyear recommended a 14' endless steel tape which is apparently a tool to measure circumference, however, finding one is another story. Guess it's a unicorn.
