Anyone own one of these ? Was looking to buy one but reviews are scarce and want to know how bad the engine is . I think it has DEF since there is some sort of tank on it but cant find anywhere that reports a c13 using def. has about 600k on it . here is a link to pic

2009 is a couple years early for DEF. I think that is a storage box of some sort on the side.

    markk Thanks this.

If it's a SDP Cat series, run far away and don't look back.

On the left side? It's a APU.
But still stay away from a 09 CAT.

    markk Thanks this.

Engine serial number prefix. It'll be the 3 characters that start the last 8 of the engine S/N (eg: C13XXXSPDXXXXX)

I've never, EVER seen a Prostar with a Cat motor. I have honestly never seen an International newer than a 9900 with any form of Cat motor. Also somewhat telling is that there is no under-hood picture. I have, however, seen a Maxxforce 13 advertised as a Cat C13. I'd be slightly skeptical and ask for a picture and engine serial number.

    double yellow Thanks this.
