Actually, I think you misunderstand.

Since you're going to pay taxes anyway, you want the least expensive before tax fuel price. Since there are no taxes applied in Oregon, you already know what you are paying. Other states, you just need to find that tax rate and subtract from your pump price.

Not many people I meet, know how to fuel for profit. Thaiguy does.

Yep, took me a month to finally get her on the phone...when I finally spoke with her, she was supposed to send me screen shots showing what freight and rates looked like in my area...never heard from her again. From what a couple of guys had told me on TTR here, it sounded like a waste of time in the Northeast anyway

What rates looked like in NEPA, and whether I could run local/regional and turn a decent profit. Another driver on here told me about some of the rates in PA, and they were around $1/mi. I am looking to run PA/MidWest and get home most weekends, paying myself on a W2 at $1200/WJ and would still like my LLC/S Corp to avg a $500/wk profit after all expenses/deductions. I'm looking at a ballpark avg of $1.60/mi on 2500 miles a week, give or take. While it's getting harder to do it at Schneider, it still appears doable from what I've seen on the load board.

 

Rates in pa new jersey are cheap as uno with most companies anything up to 1.00 really. To me you'll do better in midwest I was averaging 3700 to 4k there.
I stay away from east unless I'm stopping by or going home 4 a break. Now you can stay east and do 1200 week and not go far n be home the weekend if planned right.
