Mfj wants you to send it back to them for calibration and that's down in Mississippi some place

Omg, it is easy. I will try to find the article on how to properly calibrate the unit which covers all AA units. I've got to get to work this morning so it will have to wait.

By the way it is really easy.

Easy and accurate are two different things. Calibration procedure for the mfj-259b is completely different than for the MFJ 259

It's really easy if you have the proper test equipment which none of us do

I'm not talking about specific procedures for each model but the common thread for calibration that all of them no matter what has to go through.

The article is pretty good in explaining the process and what is needed but more importantly it breaks down the why. Right now I popped into here and will look for it when I get home later on.

Why do you guys put so much faith in mfj and their ability to tell you or explain to you something?

They put out an ok aa product, the rest of their product line is ok but they are not all that great when it comes to answering questions.
