Check out Jim Palmer out of Missoula MT, or Wil-Trans out of springfield, MO. Jim palmer is owned by Wil-Trans, and Hauls reefer for Prime.

They have almost an identical training program as prime. Also, the $600 a week for 10k miles and then the remainder of the required 40k miles at $700 a week. Keep in mind this doesn't start until you obtain your CDL. Also, the $200 living advance does not start until you are on the truck (after permit is received.) They try and match you with a trainer of similar personally, and home location. Therefore, it could take an additional week or longer for your trainer to be available. So don't start to expect that $700 for about 4-6 weeks.

Go get your CDL first. You can go with Swift. You can leave and just pay them back slowly that way you will have more selection of better company. Swift is good. Thats where I got my CDL but I didn't work for them right after I got my CDL. I work for Abilene and I am very happy here.

Don't get stuck in a contract and do your research very well before you decide something. I've had a lot of selection before I jump in to company to where I wanna start my journey as a trucker. Do whats the best fit for you coz everyone is different then you'll be fine.

I am sorry to tell you but as of noon today, Trucking is closed to new drivers. We have enough newbies. We don't have room in the business for anyone who is willing to work for less then 45 cpm. Also any Brokers who are booking loads for less the $2.30 per mile.

    ChaoSS Thanks this.

    Where?
How much experience do you have, before being injured?
How long since you've driven a truck?

    TaterFox Thanks this.

Beware... you're in the Twilight Zone.
You popped up, suddenly, in a 1 year, 4 month old thread.
Rod Serling is somewhere around here.
