Make sure they use new parts and not shady running the hoses thru the floor. Insulate so they don't rub a hole in the lines.

The place in Stafford is putting my Satellite in for the dish people. Good luck to you. I am so far happy. I just want to know about taking the skirt off without tools. Someone posted that and I want to know how to do it.

Yea, he called trying to get the business. Actually had a better price but Eli failed to list him as one of the dealers I should call. Already set up the install and financing with Robert at apu center so it looks like that's where I'll be getting mine done. On the up side, Robert did take the time to explain the unit and how it would be installed and pretty much any other question I could come up with. I was going to go with the gen 3 system Dynasys SL but after taking with about 4 different dealers I went with the Gen 2 system. The SL has a stronger AC rating but uses a car AC unit while the Gen 2 has a 110v AC unit that's inside the truck and out of the weather. I have yet to hear one of the installers say they are getting complaints about the Gen 2 being under powered. I like the idea that the Gen 2 has the 6kv generator as well as a alt. Having the option to use clean power for power tools as well as a 2500 inverter for other loads appeals to me more.

I had a new Dynasys SL installed by Big Rig Truck Accesories in New Braunfels, TX a couple weeks ago and so far, so good. Nice, clean, install and very cold a/c. Had a 2000 watt inverter installed at the same time so haven't used the generator power yet. Need to do my first 50 hour oil change and looks like it'll be really easily accessed. Overall, I'm happy but time will tell

The gen 2 does, the gen 3 ( SL ) does not. Only a alternator to charge batteries and run the inverter. The gen 2 has the 6k genset on it as well as a alternator.

This is a direct quote from dynasys

" Unlike the popular Dynasys APU, the new Dynasys SL APU does not include an AC power generator, but focuses solely on operator comfort and climate control of the vehicle’s cabin. The automotive-style system is lighter weight and employs a belt-driven AC compressor to generate up to 24,000 BTU/hr of cooling power and heat dissipation from its diesel power plant to deliver up to 8,000 BTU/hr of heating strength. "

That makes sense. I also had an invertor installed at the same time so no need for both. And I was thinking they failed to inform me about the generator, haha

That's why I ended up going with the gen 2 system. I wanted the ability to add the electrification package at a later date. The SL system is not set up to be able to do that. At least, that's what the dealers are saying. I was a bit concerned about the lower rating on the AC unit but 3 different dealers in Texas said they haven't had any complaints about the system being able to keep the truck cool in Texas summers. Most of my running is in the south anyway so I hope this doesn't come back to bite me.
