Not trying to call anyone out or give an opinion one way or another about leasing. I'm just curious. Do some companies still offer health benefits?

Check Cardinal/Greatwide; they have a couple of TN terminals and one is in Goodlettsville.
I went through their orientation a few years ago, but don't remember what was said about health insurance. Didn't take the job because I decided to go tankers.

Not usually. As a lease operator you are considered a contractor and are not an employee.

I am an owner operator and have purchased Obamacare Superior health plan for $56 a month family of 3. $1 dr. Visit/ $5 specialist. $500 yearly deductable for in hospital stay. Humana was around $125 a month, $10/$50 visits so I changed to try the cheaper plan. So far I like this plan.

    Three things:

    1). You're lying?
2). You made very, very, very little money?
3). You skirted the system, and found a way to report very, very, very little money?

ObamaCare is based on income. At $22.00 an hour for a 40 hour week, I was paying $100.00 a week for the wife and I. Had a $3,000.00 deductible per person, per year. Can't remember how expensive everything else was (Doctor visit co-pay, prescriptions, etc....) because we never used the insurance. I only had the insurance so I wouldn't get raped at tax time.

I am not lieing. If you didn't already know most truck lease operators make very like money. I just got a $18,000 bill from freightliner service department with only about $12,000 left to pay off the truck. Now I'm beginning a new 7 year lease paying over $800 a week for a lease payment and insurance. I will be glad to post my tax forms online for you to. I file through software H&R Block and Turbo tax. I just give the software the info it asks for.

You are paid by the hour and I get paid by truck expenses. You have a set hourly rate and I have a rate based on luck.
