Only thing that sucks about reading up on these companies is you get all the negative and you dont know if this stuff is true are just mad people mad at a company and wanting to bash them. Hard to tell whats true and what ain't.

PTL run eastern states and Texas. Their teams might sometimes get a west coast run. The way to make money is to spread your wings.
If you have all the endorsements, then go with tankers. @SidewaysBentHalo
There's some good companies for new cdl grads, but you won't hear about them in cdl school. Even the websites can be misleading and have "experience required" but in reality they hire with "zero experience" as long as you have that cdl school diploma.

This.
Even when I'm away from home my wife and I always check our finances between our respective jobs to make sure we get paid properly so that bills get paid on time or if there's an situation that we have enough money to cover whatever happens. If she or I see a pay discrepancy we're gonna know about it, her even more so since she can look up stuff at home on our computer.Giovany Thanks this. -
It will never be all things to all people. There are way too many personalities and have of those don't even belong in a truck.
You need to talk to actual people who work there now or did work there. You need to keep in mind that most of what you hear from a recruiter is a lie and most of what you hear from another driver is only half truths, unless he is happy there.bamalife123 and Giovany Thank this. -
Don't just look at cents-per-mile.
I was only making .36 cpm with over 20 yrs. experience, but at the end of the year made $65K. The reason is accessorial pays. Look at accessorial pays and the total benefits package because all that is money.Giovany Thanks this. -
Reminds of when I went to CDL school. There was one student who failed his CDL pre trip inspection because he DIDN'T WANT TO GET UNDER THE TRUCK and point out what to look for to the DOT state trooper administering the test. They expect you to get low and get under there but this bonehead didn't want to do it.SidewaysBentHalo Thanks this.

Main reason I went there so sure that I'm going to stay? Some "friend " advised me to and just for the record the school that I went to didn't do a lot for us ( we were paying this school) we were 22 people and I was scheduled for my dmv after 2 months after I finished my school and I was the only one to pass from my first try my colleagues had to do the exam 3-4 times to get the drivers license
And I have nothing on my record so I consider that I'm not one of the worst ones -
Lol When I took the pre trip they gave me a stick to point but in the middle of the exam me and the 2 ladies that were testing me were all under the truck lol and at the and my hands were black by my elbows
