Oh boy what a field day. So I got to work at 11:30pm Sunday night and did a Cleveland to Pittsburgh single transit run. Got to the warehouse about 2:16am or so and got my paper work and grabbed my trailer back to Cleveland. At 3:00am I got a call from my boss were out of tractors at my yard! So my first stop I had to unload real quick boogie back to the yard drop my trailer. Hook my truck up to another trailer and another driver climbed in that truck and went and ran a route.

We had a 5,000lbs order going to a high school sitting in my trailer that now has no tractor to pull it. So we loaded up that 5,000lbs order into our take along van the two of them and did the delivery that way.

Needless to say because of equipment issues I'll be out of the warehouse the rest of the week. Shipping out after diner.

So today was a good one I need to stop following my GPS and go the way I know is better.
Any how had a little bit of a challenging day today. 26 pallets 30,000lbs 1 stop. Go to the warehouse get my load okay cool.

50ft trailer tandems slid all the way to the back. I know they can be slid, but I've never done it and don't know all the ins and outs so I just rolled with it. Never again. Those tandems slid all the way to the back terrible ride huge long bridge hard to corner makes the trailer a true 50ft. Now the good news tandems slid to the back the truck backs up straight, but still pain in the rear.

The first time I did a backhaul was at a kraft mustard factory I came in off my route still brand new and green must have had a gravy day lol and the boss asked if I could pick one up... sure so I take a 53 and run across town go into the shippers office they tell me a door and to drop and slide my axles. I had a heck of a time trying to do it finally a yard jockey came by and helped me or I wouldn't have got it done. First and last time I have volunteered to pick up a backhaul lol

I was screwing around with the tandems after my run was done and i pulled the lever sure enough the pins don't retract like they should and eventually I just gave up and said ehh forget it let someone else screw with it. Great Attitude I know...

When I'm back in town doing my normal job we do our back hauls in 28' trailers real easy no need to slide tandems in one of those.

Today I had a transfer run just swapping trailers. Besides a few four wheelers driving like nincompoops it was a fine run. Just swapping trailers. The kind of job you could retire from.

Well weeks over I'm home now had fun this week it was a good week and everything went off well as this girl I once went out to diner with said to me "it was a good date." That was right before she dumped me. True story...

2:07am I was getting ready to run the Ohio line into Cleveland from Pittsburgh. I enjoyed working in the road division this week. I tell you what the hills of Pennsylvania get awful foggy that early in the morning.

Well foodies what's going on. I'm back in action here on the local circuit tomorrow fun in the SUN. My cousin and his "girl friend" (I can't stand the term boy friend or girl friend any more which is why I put it in quotes, sometimes I feel like Alicia Silverstone :love4: in the Aerosmith Music Video for the song Crying.)

Anyhow there over now and it's getting nice I want to take a shower and move my car into the driveway, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. I don't actually bother to socialize with my cousin because I have nothing to say to him or his woman and there not here to visit me anyhow. But that's one of the sacrifices I make when you live at home at 28. Working on getting out of here though, starting to get some finances together more and more and better and better, but there's no real rush LOL I'm waiting for the folks to kick me out LOL, but there not really like that.

Anyhow another day tomorrow actually it looks like an alright day on my end, so hopefully will get it done. Anyhow lets all be safe out there tomorrow and get it done, the company, customers and for those of you with significant others and kids there all counting on us.
