I'm warning you steer clear of Roehl Transport they're a terrible company if you decide you don't like working there they will keep your entire paycheck for the trainers they require you to drive with beware they lie like hell to get you in the door and then they own so they think I'll be fine but not everyone could go a couple weeks without a check

There is a nearly foolproof way to prevent a trucking company from stealing your last check, but you have to be strategic about it. You can't just get POd and quit, nor can you be Dudley Do-Right and give 2 weeks notice. If you do, you can kiss that last check goodbye.

Apparently this dude signed the Roehl post-schooling company training contract that required him to work so many miles or else pay them thousands of dollars.

Most rookies do not read contracts that contain all the information about what they must pay back in the event they leave a company. I'm sure that is what has happened here.

There arent too many complaints about Roehl on this forum, so am guessing this story is somewhat incomplete!

Roehl is growing and they're trying to have more control. I had cameras recording me in off duty time. The red lights tell you the camera is transmitting it records 24/7 but it's only transmitting when the red light is on so you can tell when it transmits and trucks that were gutless gas hog because of the restraints on the trucks. I paid for my schooling out of pocket . I had to go with a trainer for two weeks to prove I could drive. They want money for that time it's fine but they shouldn't be allowed to leave you with nothing and they are terrible don't expect 3000 miles like they tell you and it's midwest regional at best plus you end up shutlling loads around every major city you go to. The flat bed division probably would've been betterl but van national was terrible. The cameras at other companies are ran by a third party Roehl runs their own you and mama in the sleeper berth having some personal time you got some perv on the other end listening in! You can believe whatever you want but this company is growing and growing in the wrong direction they suck!
