Don't think you can get full lockups though with dual speed rear ends?..... That's the last I heard anyways. What size of loads are you wanting to haul anyways? All my last trucks have had 4:30's and did just fine.
-
I heard that too which kinda sucks, but someone on here a while back said something about getting a set up that was similar to full lockers I just can't remember who or what the called it.
-
I have heard lately you can get 2 speeds and lockers now. Guess they fixed the problem Check with a dealer that specs heavy haul trks.
Oxbow and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
Well, I was thinking of 120K to 160K load going offroad into fields. Windmill nacelles. This is what i was asking regarding the double frame as well.
-
120-160k load? That's running in the tall grass with the big dogs, out of my league for sure.
-
Must be GE nacelles. The Gamasea run right at 160 last I knew
-
Are you saying 160K on the deck?
-
Yep, when I had my 13 axle, I hauled Suzlon nacelles they weighed 165k
The bed plate was 11'6". So all the weight was in that small bed plate.
Oh and center of them was not center of weight distribution eitherOxbow and johndeere4020 Thank this.
