    If you do lease on with a company like Landstar, check their requirements for a tractor. With some companies they might not accept an older truck, they don't seem to care about what condition the truck is in, just the age. Might not seem fair, but they do call the shots.

    None of the good companies care about age as long as it has an electronic engine for elogs. The ones that care about age are the ones that don't pay enough to keep a truck going.

    I've seen in the last year or so max age for a lot of companies is 10yrs old. Which is BS! One of my drivers has a 96 and hardly ever has down time.

    Pgt trucking doesnt have an age limit, and the o/o have the option of paper or elogs. Truck must pass a very strict dot inspection.
