The only thing not true in this post is BBB did not sell anything. F2F was taken over by Maxtrans with no money changing hands, just debt owed to Maxtrans.

Does it really matter? Any of it? All down the tubes. It never had to be that way. Some of us would make comments years ago how it was OK to be small 20-25 trucks or so, grow that slow, and take care of it. But they HAD to be a big time player as soon as possible. Whether the money was available to do that or not. They didn't have to hire any and everyone that wanted to lease on. They could have been picky and choosy people wanted to be there. Never understood that - the "grow no matter what" thinking. Ran a good thing right into the ground.

 

I will go on "the stand" and say I was just as big a supporter of F2F as anyone. I took a chance on this company and it worked out well for over 2 years. Things got iffy and I still believed and stuck in there. I defended people at "the time" that I believed in. It sure didn't go as I thought it would. I do apologize to anyone that has seen some of my defensive post in the past about F2F. I was wrong. Not the first time but hopefully the last. I'm too old. But after some soul searching and being able to talk to the new Operations Manager at F2F Transport (Not any previous farm2fleet uppers, don't really agree with the new name either) I have negotiated a new lease agreement, feel like I have someone that actually has the O/Os best interest in mind, and not have to worry whether about calling someone with a question and being BS's with some crap that I don't want to hear.

 

I doubt Maxtrans said anything. Being counseled by them to not pay is probably another BBB lie. That would be my guess.

 

Very interesthing to read about the take over by Maxtrans.
It does raise 1 question.
Why did BBB sell F2F to them ,then wait the 90 days needed for the take over to be safe before declaring bankruptcy if Maxtrans didn't give anything in return?

This Bill character is really something else.... Did he actually tell those who were owed money, "I'd like to pay you the money you're owed, but I've been advised not to"

In my experience there are only 3 reason's for non payment.

1) can't pay, cause they're dead broke and don't have it

2) won't pay, cause they're criminals

3) won't pay, because of legitimate dispute. For example, theft or damage claim against the party owed.

 

Well since he sold the company my bet is on a combination of number 1 and 3.
