Sounds like a management problem at that DC. I know the DC I'm out of mangers take pictures of dirty trucks . The driver gets coached. The worst I came across was just the fact that it had never been wiped cleaned and the inside of windows were never cleaned.

Is the mentors you ride with at Sealy, laid back? I've heard some of the drivers don't have such a "positive attitude" towards newbies

Even with Walmarts rules, there are those who slip through the hiring cracks and they're the ones mentors don't take too kindly to when they're tearing up a truck or cutting it close on safety.

Come in like a professional and you'll be treated as such by most drivers at your DC.

Best thing to do is to come here, get on a program asap. But I just cringe when I hear a new driver saying he's going to drop everything to move 2k miles across country to work at Walmart. They need to be aware of the slipseat issue when making such a life changing decision, over here this has made guys leave the company fairly quick or wonder why they gave up that good job they've been at for 15 years just to change into dirty trucks every day.

When you're at a DC with a very large driver pool, it seems difficult to keep everyone on the same page.

They are programmed to shut off after 2 hrs, all you will need to do is go to the shop and they can reprosram it for 8-10 hours.
